Yes, I know it is bad, but I honestly hate those people who say 'Don't judge a book by its cover'. If you say that you don't judge someone then you, my friend, are a liar.
Everyone, and yes I do mean EVERYONE judges everyone else. We look at someone and think, do you see her clothes? slut, or, that girl has to be 15 and has a baby? what was she thinking? and I know my mums favourite one, I don't like her, she dresses like a street worker, I don't want you to be like her. And yes, I do admit, I too judge people. And it is normal. So whenever someone says that they 'don't judge' I just look at them and say, "YOU LIAR" because in this world we cannot help but judge. There will always be a part in our brain constantly judging the people that you meet every single day, whether it be new friends, teachers, your boss, or that random you accidentally bump into the street. But no matter what you do, you will judge them. Don't convince yourself otherwise.
And I know it is lame (and kind of cliché) to come to this, but I do believe that some of this does come from the media. I mean think about it. Tabloids, magazines, that random person that interviews celebrities. They all ask questions, they all look at their answers in their own ways before posting it on various websites and other things and sharing it to the public where we, in turn, interpret it again, and draw our own conclusions.
So stop telling me not to 'judge a book by the cover'. I think I will judge a book by its cover, but that doesn't mean that I will stop there, I will turn to read the blurb, and, if I find you interesting enough, i will delve into the psychotic words on the page that is your life.
